Performance testing utilizes and variety of force testing protocols to gain insights into injury risk reduction, asymmetries, performance enhancement strategies, and general benchmarking. It's essentially a combination of strength and power assessments, with "force testing" being the umbrella term. Since the foundation all human movement is force production, force testing is now standard in sport science and performance rehabilitation settings. Force testing is generally safer and more accurate than using exercises to assess and track progress. We perform our assessment using a combination of Hawkin Dynamics force plates, Peak Force Systems equipment, and Tindeq dynamometers. A detailed report will be provided following the assessment. These assessments can either be a one time session or performed periodically to track progress.

Chris has always enjoyed helping people achieve greater health and reach their goals, which made his journey to a career in Physiotherapy a natural fit. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick 2006, he worked as a personal trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in Whistler for several years before completing his Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia in 2016. Chris has a continuous appetite for learning and growing professionally; to this end he has taken courses in manual therapy, IMS/dry needling, vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, management of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, as well as specific courses on shoulder, hip, knee, and low back rehabilitation.

Chris enjoys treating a varied caseload of patients with musculoskeletal injuries, including sport and orthopedic conditions, ranging from acute to chronic conditions, but has a particular interest in knee injuries including ACL and other post-surgical rehabilitation, and running injuries. No matter how big or small the goal, his treatments are always individualized, educational, client-centered and supplemented with manual therapy and progressive exercise programs as necessary. Whether you are someone with common aches or pains or an athlete of any kind, Chris looks forward to being able to help you.

Beyond the walls of the clinic, you can catch Chris mountain biking, trail running, or skiing in the local mountains. He believes that a strong, healthy body allows for optimal engagement in sport and life and aims to put his knowledge into practice in his own pursuits and strength and conditioning practice.
